Club Philosophy: The
aim of the Newquay Cormorants Swimming Club is to have a club development
programme which will encourage the mass of competitive swimmers, whatever
their level of ability and achievement, to gain benefit and enjoyment
from swimming. ·
The aims inevitably involve a high degree of commitment from the swimmer
and the swimmer's family as well. The swimmers, of course, need the encouragement
and assistance from their parents. · The
parents have also to provide other services and tasks that go towards
making a successful club, this includes administration, and many parents
have to be involved in this part of the club structure.
The aim is to provide regular competition as is desirable for all the swimmers in the training programme, at a level that is both appropriate and gradually progressive in standard. This is achieved through participation in the following:
